Hillel Bachrach - Chairman of the Board
Hillel Bachrach is the former President & CEO of Orex CR, (sold to Kodak and closed, March 2005). Mr. Bachrach is formerly President of Odin Medical Technologies, (which sold its worldwide distribution rights to Medtronic in 2001). He is also co-founder of ESC Medical Systems, (NASDAQ IPO, Jan. 1996), where he held the positions of Co-Chairman, Director and Executive Vice President of Marketing and Business Development. Mr. Bachrach brings over 25 years of management experience in the medical devices industry. Previously he held positions at Candela Laser Corporation, General Electric Medical Systems, and Baxter International. Mr. Bachrach holds a B.Sc. in Electrical Engineering from the Technion in Israel and an MBA from Kellogg Graduate School of Management at Northwestern University, Chicago, Illinois.
Jonathan Adereth - Private Investor (former CEO, Elscint)
Jonathan Adereth's career was built for the most part at Elscint Ltd., an Israel-based global Medical Imaging company listed on the NYSE. Mr. Adereth worked in the company for 27 years beginning with a variety of positions in R&D, Marketing and CS, followed by eight years as VP Sales prior to becoming President and CEO of Elscint between 1994 and 1998. After the assets of Elscint were sold in 1998 to GE and Marconi, Mr. Adereth retired from the company and established a consulting service for Strategic Planning and Business Development in the field of Medical Technology. Over the years Jonathan has provided consulting services to many Israeli companies in the health care arena as well as to venture capital funds and investment companies. Mr. Adereth presently serves as active Chairman of the Board in three Israel-based companies: Mazor Surgical Technologies Ltd., a public company traded in Tel Aviv, MedicVision, a company specializing in Medical Imaging solutions, and Barnev Inc., a company specializing in Computerized Labor monitoring. Jonathan Adereth holds a B.Sc. degree in Physics from the Technion-Israel Institute of Technology.
Robert Adrian - Managing Partner of CapRio Management
Robert Adrian has 24 years of experience in the financial services industry in various roles spanning institutional trading, risk management and proprietary/hedge fund trading. His Wall Street career began in 1983 as an institutional position trader on Smith Barney's Listed Equity Trading desk. In 1987 he was promoted to Managing Director, and in 1993 he became head of the Listed Equity desk, maintaining that role for five years. In 1998 Mr. Adrian was tasked with architecting and developing the Global Equity Risk Management group for Salomon/Smith Barney. The focus of this role encompassed risk monitoring and capital commitment for all institutional equity products around the world, including the Listed, NASDAQ, Derivatives, Convertibles, Program Trading, and Equity Capital Markets businesses. This risk management responsibility involved direct communication with the head of the Global Corporate and Investment Bank (GCIB) as well as the co-heads of the Equity Division. In 2004 Mr. Adrian assumed responsibility for building and managing a long/short proprietary fund within Citigroup's Equity Division. He left Citigroup in June of 2007, and is currently a managing partner of CapRio Management LLC, a New York based investment advisory firm. Mr. Adrian has also held various advisory positions on a number of boards, including the NYSE Market Performance Committee, the NYSE Allocation Committee and Brown University's Endowment Campaign Committee. Robert Adrian holds a degree in Mathematical Economics from Brown University, where he graduated Magna Cum Laude in 1982.
